Here's Your First Look At Vizio's 2013 Lineup For Budget-Friendly PCs, Tablets, TVs, And Smartphones
Walking into the Vizio show room at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas made us feel like we were leaving the hectic strip and stepping into a clean, peaceful showroom fully of their latest offerings.
Our tour started with several walls full of TVs. This is Vizio's new XVT-series. The 70-inch Ultra High Definition 4K TV was crystal clear. Vizio plans to release this set sometime in the fall. It's also available in 55 or 65-inches. No price yet.
Next to the 70-inch 4K TV was the 55-inch. We really liked this one because it was a 3DTV where you didn't need glasses. The 3D is super crisp and can be seen from a lot of different angles.
Next was the E-series, these HDTV's were razor thin. The E-series features Vizio's Smart TV experience. They're available in a range of sizes from 27-inches all the way up to 70-inches.
Next up were some smaller LED TVs. These featured Vizio's Smart TV technology too. The smaller sizes are perfect for kitchens, dens, or kids' rooms.
Vizio's Co-Star stream player was also on display. The box is powered by Google TV.
The Co-Star packs a lot in a small body. It can also connect to OnLive, a streaming video game service.
Next up was Vizio's line of laptops and PCs. First we saw the new 14-inch Thin + Light Touch PC. It features Windows 8, a quad-core processor, discreet-level graphics and a HD+ touchscreen. It actually was pretty thin.
Here's the Light + Touch from another angle.
The 15.6-inch Thin + Light offers a full 1080p touchscreen, an AMD Radeon discreet GPU, and quad-core graphics. This one was for users who needed a little bit more screen real estate.
Vizio's desktop PCs were stunning. Here's the 27-inch all-in-one touch PC. It has an HD touchscreen, great audio, and a nice wireless mouse pad and keyboard.
A better look at the trackpad.
This subwoofer is how the PC gets that incredible sound. The bass was deep too.
Vizio is also preparing to release a line of Tablet PCs using Windows 8. Here is the 11.6-inch tablet. The tablet is just 0.4 inches thick and weighs 1.8 pounds.
Vizio's 10.1-inch Android tablet has a HD screen with a resolution of 2560x1600. It is powered by NVIDIA's T4 processor, has 32GB of memory (that can be expanded), NFC, Bluetooth, a 5MP rear camera, and 1.3MP front camera.
The smaller 7-inch tablet has a quad-core processor, the latest version of Android, and a 1280x800 touch screen.
Moving to smartphones, Vizio is hip to the huge screen trend. This 5-inch Android-powered smartphone has a full HD 1920x180 touch screen, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 32GB of memory (expandable with an SD card), Bluetooth 4.0, an 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.
If a 5-inch smartphone is too big for you, Vizio also has a 4.7-incher with 720 x 1280 resolution.
