Despite awaiting a decision on his four-game suspension, Brady was seemingly in good spirits at the Charitable Foundation's annual Patriots Premiere gala held at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday.
During a panel with other Patriots players, a reporter asked if Brady did anything cool to celebrate the Super Bowl victory.
Brady sarcastically quipped (via Boston Herald):
"Yeah, it's been such a good offseason."
Obviously, the Deflategate controversy has cast a spell over the Patriots Super Bowl victory, and Brady has had to deal with an offseason of court dates, appeals, and press conferences.
Other aspects of Brady's offseason haven't gone well, either. An Us Weekly report said his wife, Gisele Bundchen, threatened to divorce Brady this summer.
Still, Brady seemed to be in a good mood at the event. He compared young teammates to children, having to explain the same things over and over until they get it, and later said the favorite part of his summer was an Instagram post where wide receiver Julian Edelman rubs mud on his body.
A decision from Judge Richard Berman on Brady's suspension is expected by Friday.
