Tiger Woods Got Off To A Strong Start At The Masters

He shot 2-under, tied for the his second-best opening round ever at Augusta.

He trails the leader Marc Leishman by four strokes going into Friday.

Tiger made 14 pars, three birdies, and one bogey.

The birdies came at the par-5 eighth, the par-3 sixth, and the par-5 13th.

Seeing as how Tiger usually starts slowly before making his move on Friday and Saturday, this is a positive sign for his chances.

The only worrying sign is that his putting wasn't as good as its been this year. His bogey came on a three-putt, and he had a number of 15-20-foot birdie attempts just miss the hole.

Overall, though, it was a great start.
