Ticket prices for Games 6 and 7 of the World Series are like nothing we have ever seen
If Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians fans want to go to Games 6 or 7 of the World Series in Cleveland it is going to cost them.
The average ticket price on the secondary ticket market for Game 6 on Tuesday night is $1,776, according to data from ticketiQ. That is more expensive than any Game 6 or Game 7 in the last seven years.
Things really start to skyrocket if there is a Game 7 on Wednesday, as the average price for those tickets is now just under $4,000, more than twice as expensive as any Game 7 in recent years.
In fact, tickets for Game 7 are projected to be more expensive than any other recent Game 7s, including the NBA and NHL.
That is saying something considering Progressive Field holds about twice as many fans as your typical NBA or NHL arena.
