Upcoming films collaborating with brands to reach out to more audience is nothing new. But a superhero movie's tie up with brands would definitely be at par with it superpower. As per a news report by The Economic Times, Hollywood superhero film 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' has emerged as the most-marketed movie in India, tying up with 50 brands for promotions, double the number of brand associations Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Ra.One had inked. The sequel to The Avengers, the highest-grossing Hollywood film so far, expects to earn Rs 120 crore in retail sales from tie-ups with brands including Pepsi-Co's Mountain Dew, Funskool and Pantaloons, said a person involved in the marketing deals. Till now Ra.One, which raked in Rs 50 crore from product placements with 25 brand associations, has been the most marketed movie in India.The difference in marketability between Hollywood and Bollywood films has blurred, thanks to various English movie channels. "Brands partnering with Avengers are leveraging on its popularity in India, with the Indian audience showing similar preferences as global ones. This is a record brand association for any Hollywood film in the country," Abhishek Maheshwari, VP and head at Disney Consumer Products told the ET.
