The criteria for judging were originality of content, creativity and technique. ‘Time in a Box’ and ‘Inertia’ were adjudged the winners of the competition; ‘Time In A Box’ was, surprisingly, made on a meager budget of less than Rs. 200. The winning filmmakers will get a chance to shoot their next film at the Ramoji Krian Virtual Reality Floor in Hyderabad as well as a mentorship from industry experts.
Being a judge at the Media Konnect short film competition, Ananth Mahadevan, said, “ to see content these young filmmakers have created is truly inspirational, and it was great to see the variety of technique, creativity and content on display. To think that a film could be made in Rs. 180 and win a competition, it is definitely something our entire industry can learn from.”
Media Konnect is keen to open a Film Club, which will allow budding filmmakers to screen their creations at their proprietary set up.
