If there’s one superpower we’ve always secretly wanted, it has to be the ability to think faster, especially during pressure situations. Imagine solving a problem within seconds and impressing your boss? Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?

Unfortunately, we’re no superheroes and thus, the ability to think faster isn’t bestowed magically to us.

But fret not! What if we told you there’s a way to get around that?

Here are eight steps that’ll surely help you think faster the next time you’re in a meeting and are your job depends on churning out creative ideas.

1. Say yes: Remember, saying yes, is always a good idea.

2. Body intelligence: Don’t stress yourself into blabbering too much. Instead, let your mouth do the talking. You’ll be surprised at the ideas!

3. Let silence be: Silence doesn’t always need to be filled in with words. Instead, let the silence be. Use that time to think of your next big idea!

4. The art of repetition: Every idea sounds crazy at first! That’s what you gotta repeat it. Repeating your ideas while thinking also helps in give them shape from just a rough sketch.

5. First thought is the best thought: There’s a reason it came to your mind first. Never give up on your first thought. Keep refining it!

6. Listen to your gut: Your gut is always right. Don’t ignore it. Instead, pay heed and think better ideas!

7. Mind jerk: What if you could jerk your mind with ideas something on the lines of a knee-jerk? Sounds difficult? But, is it really impossible?

8. Least effort principle: Thinking a good idea doesn’t have to take you seven days and infinite hours. It should come to you naturally.
