This is why Narendra Modi is a true teacher: #TeachersDay

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 800 students today on the eve of Teachers’ Day to highlight the importance of a teacher in our life. In his one year in office, Narendra Modi proved well beyond doubt that he himself is a true teacher to his fellow citizens. Here’s what makes him that.

1. Leader- Though people call him a one man mission, it is only because of his leadership qualities that he leads and leads well enough to get noticed. From leading a state to leading a country, he sure has set an example for the nation to follow. His visions and missions are unique. From using the power of internet to the power of All India Radio, he connects the past generation to the present. We all have something to learn from him.

2. Student- A good teacher should be a good student too. He could have easily ruled the nation ignoring our whims. But he knew he cannot become a successful Prime Minister of a country without knowing what its people want. From encouraging people to participate in discussions like Chai pe Charcha and Digital India Plan to asking for suggestions for topics to talk in his Mann Ki Baat, he is always opened to scopes to learn from his fellow citizens.

3. Pioneer- A student never learns from a teacher until the teacher is a pioneer. Be it classroom techniques or playground tactics, a student looks up to his teacher when they go away from the norm to do something different than their predecessors. From Swachh Bharat Mission to Smart cities initiative to Skill Development plans, Modi has pioneered missions which no other government managed to do in such a short period of one year. He is an idol of innovation from whom the whole country is inspired.

4. Orator- Students hate boring lectures and that has led to the inventions of games like Hangman and Pen fights. Mathematical formulas and laws of physics are all explained well enough in our textbooks. What’s the need of a teacher to tell us the same mundane things! That’s the art a good teacher needs to master- oratory skills. Modi is undoubtedly an excellent orator. This is proved from the overwhelming response to his Mann Ki Baat.

5. Combination of guide, friend and philosopher- A student searches for a true friend in his teacher. Signing the Naga Accord is one of the most important achievements of Modi’s profile. This was only possible as the Nagas saw in him a guide who can give their visions the right directions.
