This is how Tamil Nadu developed under Jayalalithaa

Jayaram Jayalalithaa was a stalwart leader of Tamil Nadu who had a progressive vision for the state. She envisioned making Tamil Nadu poverty-free, something which no leader in the state ever spoke about.

Jayalalithaa had set numerous targets for Tamil Nadu, one of which was becoming one of the top three investment destinations in Asia by 2023.

Her ‘Vision 2023’ document had a list of targets such as increasing the per capita income of Tamil Nadu to Rs 4, 50,000 by 2023, achieve gross state domestic product rate of 11%, economic prosperity, inclusive growth, health for all, infrastructure, creating a healthy investment climate, making the state a knowledge hub and innovation capital, etc.

In the past too, Jayalalithaa achieved her agenda of making Tamil Nadu a prosperous state and strengthened the state’s GDP. Tamil Nadu is also home to many automobile companies and other sectors such as manufacturing and agriculture also grew by leaps and bounds.
