Muslims across India celebrated Eid with religious pageantry, marking the end of Ramadan with feasts and exchanging pleasantries.

As per Islam, Eid al-Fitr is dedicated to feasting and serves as the "the light at the end of the tunnel” after a month-long fasting period.

On this day, Muslims thank Allah, offer prayers and celebrate the festival with the community.

People from all walks of life took to Twitter and Facebook to wish everyone on the occasion.
