Most of the pet-lovers don’t plan long vacations or feel guilty working extra hours in offices as they have pets at home. And, if you’ve been cancelling long travel plans or returning home early because your dog is home alone, here is some worthy information for you-There is a hotel for dogs!

Yes, ‘Hotel for Dogs’, a startup founded by Adhishwar TA and Shravan Krishnan, makes sure your dog does not feel lonely and takes care of all its needs while you are away.
What is it exactly?
Hotel for Dogs is a premium and one-of-a-kind facility based in Bengaluru and Chennai. The hotel is set up inside a sprawling space and equipped with state-of-the-art-facilities such as kennels with ACs and climate control, CCTV monitoring, swimming pools, on-the-call vets, etc.

“We provide services like boarding, swimming, training, grooming, socialization, dog therapy and many more. We make sure that the pets and their owners leave our premise with a smile and satisfaction in their hearts,” said Adhishwar.
The Hotel was designed by these two professionals for around Rs 20 lakh. They charge anywhere between Rs 500 and Rs 700 per night, depending on the requirement.
The idea
The idea struck when Sharavan, one of the founders, left his dog in a boarding facility and when he returned, the dog was infested by bugs, ticks and a lot of skin problems.
“I had to travel and I left my dog in a boarding facility near my place. When my dog returned, he was all infested in ticks and skin infections. I realized that boarding facilities in India is poorly maintained. This became our idea and we decided to follow it,” said Sharavan.

Future plans
The hotel is currently based in Bengaluru and Chennai and the owners plan to expand in all the metropols in next 18-24 months. They also plan to launch their own range of pet food, products and accessories.
The company has been recognized by TATA as the best student startup in the country in 2015. They also got the pride of Chennai Award for the efforts made to save the lives of about 250 animals during Chennai Floods.
Growth
The company is growing at a terrific rate of 220% and has 18,000 customers in Chennai and 5000 plus customers in Bengaluru. Presently, there do not have any funding.
