This guy claims to have reached the final level in 'Pokemon GO'
We now know what the final trainer level in "Pokémon GO" probably looks like.
A guy on Reddit claims to have reached level 40 in the game, which many believe is the current level cap for "Pokémon GO":
The screenshots shared by "problemz" show him getting 40 Ultraballs, 40 Razz Berries, 4 Incenses, 4 Lucky Eggs, 4 Lure Models, and some other goodies after reaching level 40.
Unfortunately he did so by cheating; he admits to using a bot to quickly gain experience (XP) points. That means he didn't actually walk around and catch Pokémon.
"I don't play this game," Reddit user "problemz" wrote. "I just wanted to see how far I can push with the given tools."
So while not as impressive as the guy who managed to already catch every Pokémon in North America, this does give new insight into the game's mechanics. The highest level someone had reported hitting before this was 30, and it was unclear what the very last level was until now.
Progressing in "Pokémon GO" becomes much more difficult after you reach level 20, so we can only imagine how long it would take someone to log the staggering 20 million XP points needed to reach 40 without cheating.
A level 40 account would probably command a high price on the "Pokémon GO" account resale market, but "problemz" said he's taking the high road and deactivating his account for good.
