This fitness blogger's shocking 'before and after' photos were taken seconds apart
Halle, a fitness blogger and "body positive activist," posted a "before and after" side-by-side comparison on Instagram that's being shared for proving our bodies can look drastically different depending on the angle, lighting, and posture.
Spotted by Refinery 29, Halle took two photos: One where she is standing up as tall as she can and holding her stomach taut, and a second where she has repositioned her jeans and slouched.
"Same day, same body, then seconds apart," Halle wrote on her Instagram. "So proud to be a natural woman, comfortable in my body."
She went on to tell her followers that they should stop dieting, wearing waist trainers, and getting plastic surgery instead of being kind to their bodies. "This body that you were given is the only place you have to live, respect it," she wrote. "Treat it like your best friend."

So far, her picture has garnered over 3,400 likes and hundreds of comments from women thanking her for her body positive message.
Of course, Halle is not the first (nor do we think she'll be the last) social media personality to show how misleading before and after photos can be. Earlier in November, fitness blogger Ashlie Molstad, a.k.a. Foodie Girl Fitness, received hundreds of thousands of likes for her 'before and after' photo.
"Contrary to what society has taught us to think, our worth isn't measured by how many belly rolls we have, or how many dimples [are] on our booty, or how much jiggle hangs out on our arms," Molstad wrote on Facebook.
Molstad and Halle join the countless other personal trainers, fitness bloggers, and models to come out and prove not every angle is your best and to be kind to yourself.
Though admittedly accepting (and loving) your body the way it looks is tough work, these photos are a reminder that you're just beautiful if you look like the "before" or the "after."
