A BBC journalist has put together a short piece of video analysis that seems to show who the murderer speaking with a British accent in a recent ISIS propaganda video is. BBC Home Affairs Correspondent Dominic Casciani Tweeted this video, which cuts between the eyes of the masked terrorist shown in the ISIS propaganda and Abu Rumaysah, a British Citizen who fled to Syria after being released on bail while under investigation for allegedly encouraging terrorism.

Take a look at the video and see for yourself.

Cascianai isn't the only journalist who has been trying to use video analysis to confirm the identity of the masked jihadist following a claim on Monday by documentary filmmaker Mojtaba Ali that the man seemed to be Rumaysah. The political blog Guido Fawkes put together this video that compares the voice from the ISIS video and archive footage of Rumaysah.

Rumaysah who was formerly known as Siddhartha Dhar, is a former bouncy castle salesman who was open about his Islamist views before he fled to Syria. There is a YouTube channel belonging to someone called "Abu Rumaysah" that contains many of his appearances in the British media, including this video of him on the BBC's Sunday Morning Live programme, where he says that the caliphate declared by ISIS was an "opportunity for the Koran to be realised." He appears at 7.20.
