The new S'ip by S'well will be available at Target for $25.

A designer water bottle with a cult following is coming to Target.

The water bottle, called S'well, is sold at high-end stores like Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus.

It costs $35 for a 17-ounce bottle and $45 for a 25-ounce bottle.

The S'well is marketed more like a fashion accessory than a container to hold water. It comes in dozens of different colors and patterns.

Now it's launching a cheaper sister brand called S'ip, which Target is getting exclusive rights to sell for six months.

"A water bottle has become more than just a bottle, it's an accessory," Target spokesman Joshua Thomas told Yahoo Finance. "And we're always looking for opportunities to provide customers with something they can find only at Target."

The S'ip holds 15 ounces of liquid and costs $25. It will be available April 1 at all Target stores and on the retailer's website. Yahoo Finance first reported the S'ip's launch.

The initial launch will include 12 solid-colored bottles and 7 patterned bottles, the company told Business Insider.

"From the creators of S'well, S'ip is playfully designed to bring charm and fun to your everyday water bottle, perfect for when you want to let your fun personality shine through," the company says on S'ip's new website. "Whether it's ice-cold water, fresh juice, or a steaming cup of hot cocoa, S'ip will keep your beverages hot or cold all day long."

The S'well guarantees that it will keep drinks cold for 24 hours or hot for 12. Both the S'well and the S'ip are made from BPA-free stainless steel.

Target's agreement with Si'p is the latest in a series of exclusive collaborations that the retailer has forged with popular designers over the past couple years.

One of Target's most successful such partnerships was with fashion designer Lilly Pulitzer. The designer's collection for Target sold out within a matter of hours last spring.
