CCL Products Ltd. surged as much as 10 percent in early Tuesday deals after the Hyderabad-based company reported a sharp surge in both first quarter profit and sales that beat market expectations.
CCL Products said its
April-June Profit After Tax surged 50 percent to 30.2 crore rupees compared with 20.2 crore rupees in the year ago period. Sales in the past quarter grew 25 percent to 212 crore rupees versus 169 crores in the year ago quarter.
CCL rose 18.50 rupees, or 9.5 percent, to 212.75 rupees on the
National Stock Exchange on volume of 21 lakh shares compared with an average of 6.06 lakh shares as its 5-day average.
CCL products makes 4 kinds of soluble coffee and most of its sales are exported to 60 countries across the globe.
