  • Thigh chafing is annoying. Nobody likes feeling their sweaty legs rubbing together all day long - it's uncomfortable and, for some, even painful.
  • Megababe, a beauty brand founded by influencer Katie Sturino, is openly tackling the once-taboo issues many women deal with, like thigh chafing, armpit sweat, and chest sweat.
  • I tried the Thigh Rescue Anti-Chafe Stick ($14) and I definitely felt the results - I don't want to go another summer without it.

I have a few vivid memories from high school gym class. Always dreading running the mile, the itchiness of swimming laps in a bromine pool, and swiping deodorant all over my body before class. It wasn't just me - my friends and I would put deodorant anywhere we thought we may sweat or chafe before heading outside to run, lift weights, or play soccer. My more athletic peers had learned this trick from their teammates, as some sort of pre-game ritual. I always thought it was practical enough, albeit kind of funny.

Fast forward and I now keep deodorant strictly to the pits. It's not that I never sweat or chafe in other places, but I don't want to risk ruining nice clothes or dealing with a breakout from clogged pores. On hot summer days, I usually just treat chafing with a hefty dose of "deal with it."

Then I met the Thigh Rescue Anti-Chafe Stick from Megababe.

I'd heard about it before. It was the first product to come from Katie Sturino's line, Megababe, which offers up smart, non-toxic solutions to the annoying issues women face on the daily - think boob sweat and thigh chafing. A while ago, I tried Megababe's Rosy Pits Deodorant and fell in love with the floral scent, clear formula, and pretty pink packaging.

In what turned into a series of firsts, I also tried Megababe's Thigh Rescue, the savior my chafed thighs never knew they deserved.

My review of Megababe Thigh Rescue

Megababe's Thigh Rescue stick is a game changer for anyone who deals with thigh chafing in the summer (because we can't always wear shorts under our dresses).

Thigh Rescue uses non-toxic, skin-soothing ingredients that work together to stop the friction from body parts that constantly rub against each other and ultimately leave skin dry, red, or itchy. Inside, you'll find aloe to soothe, pomegranate seed extract to protect skin and promote cell regeneration, grapeseed oil to build collagen, ginger root extract to reduce redness, and orange oil to relieve inflammation.

The packaging makes it intuitive to use - just swipe the product onto areas that experience chafing, like your inner thighs, as you would a stick of deodorant. The formula has the texture of a balm that glides on smoothly without leaving behind a sticky residue. It just kind of melts into your skin.

I swipe it on before walking to work, getting on the sweaty subway, or prior to a day out with friends. It has a faint but clean smell, almost like baby powder, and it leaves my thighs feeling soft, not sticky like deodorant. I don't even notice that it's there - which is a major sign that it's actually working.

An important thing to consider, though, is that Thigh Rescue will melt in heat. So, it's probably not the best idea to leave it in your gym bag or sitting on your windowsill in the summer. If it does melt though, it's not a huge issue, just move it to a room temperature zone or put it in the fridge to harden up the formula.

Bottom line

This is the perfect life hack if I've ever seen one. It's easy to use, smells nice, and it works. If you don't trust me, check out the load of five-star reviews this product has received. If chafing has ever bothered you, you deserve to try this summer hero.
