These statistics reveal why the future for millennials in Britain is utterly bleak

Millions of young people in Britain are facing severe financial problems and feel widely pessimistic about the future, with young women the worst affected, according to a survey of 4,000 18 to 30-year-olds.

The new study, by the charity Young Women's Trust, reveals a very different picture of an age group traditionally associated with youthful optimism. YWT says that young lives are "on hold" because of problems related to money, jobs, and issues surrounding mental health.
