These images allow you to compare what London 100 years ago looked like compared to the present day

The city of London boasts a long and fascinating history and some of the most iconic buildings anywhere in the world.

Thanks to a fantastic online archive of images courtesy of ongoing project London Past, we've been able to find pictures of the capital stretching back more than 100 years and compare them with the how the city looks today.

Some of the pictures capture London at the height of Victoria's reign while the London Past archive - which is being added to every week - contains images stretching back even further.
