2015 was by no means a blockbuster year for venture capital-backed company exits.

But despite less-than-favorable market conditions toward the end of 2015, many companies still found an exit, be it an acquisition or an IPO.

In fact, several had $1 billion+ exits.

Using data from Pitchbook, we've rounded up the top 20 VC-backed exits of the year.

The majority are biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and there are some semiconductor, adtech, and enterprise companies sprinkled into the mix as well.
