What are the odds, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is in town and we got our hands on an infographic related to Indians on the social network. First Advantage sent us an infographic that shows how many Indians use the social networks. Also, employers from all over are browsing their profiles and social stalking them to pick them for a job. So one has to be extra careful of what they are displaying on the social networks.
There are about 168.7 million Indians on the social network between the age group of 15-64. Only 34% of the graduate population in this is employable, which means 1 in every 3 people on the social network are in the service arena. Human resource managers from IT, banking and financial institutes use the social networks to aggressively search for employees at all the levels, whereas FMCG, manufacturing, power, retail and automobile look for mid-senior level people.
The infographic also showcases the challenges of hiring through the social network and some interesting solutions to these as well. Take a look at the rest of the infographic.
A tip for people looking for jobs - You might want to remove the passed-out-on-the-bench pics from your Facebook page.
