Jaganath Temple
Considered to be one of the four abodes in
Hinduism, the temple has been receiving funds from devotees across the world.
Reports suggest that the temple has a total of 224 items of gold ornaments and other
jewelleries. The annual income of the holy shrine of Lord Krishna was pegged to
be at Rs 150 crore in 2010. The temple management had allocated a budget of
whopping Rs 212 crore for this Daridra
Narayan (god of the poor) in the last fiscal year.

Golden Temple
The only Sikh temple in the list, reports
suggests that the temple is made of gold plating on the outside, while the
inside is made of silver and gold. The base that has the ‘Adi Granth’ is studded with
precious stones and gems.

Sree Padmanabha Temple
This temple, located in Thiruvanthapuram in
Kerala, became one of the wealthiest temples in India after hidden treasures were
found worth Rs 1 lakh crore. It is now being reported that gold worth Rs 260
crore is missing from the temple.
