Considered to be one of the four abodes in Hinduism, the temple has been receiving funds from devotees across the world. Reports suggest that the temple has a total of 224 items of gold ornaments and other jewelleries. The annual income of the holy shrine of Lord Krishna was pegged to be at Rs 150 crore in 2010. The temple management had allocated a budget of whopping Rs 212 crore for this Daridra Narayan (god of the poor) in the last fiscal year.

The only Sikh temple in the list, reports suggests that the temple is made of gold plating on the outside, while the inside is made of silver and gold. The base that has the ‘Adi Granth’  is studded with precious stones and gems.
