When Roshni Nadar initially entered the job market she was more excited by media than by IT services.

Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the new chairman of HCL Technologies but that doesn’t mean that the company will be shifting strategies’ even with expertise when it comes to the healthcare segment. Her father and founder of HCL Tech, Shiv Nadar, will continue on as managing director and chief strategy officer.

“I’m sure this is a part of the succession planning and the board thought this would be the right time to make this announcement,” said HCL Tech CEO C Vijayakumar during the company’s first-quarter earnings call.
