Here’s how long it will take the world’s richest billionaires to become trillionaires

  • A new analysis by Comparisun shows that Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, will be the first billionaire to turn into a trillionaire by 2026 at the age of 62.
  • Mark Zuckerberg could be world’s youngest trillionaire at the age of 51 by 2036.
  • India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, will only become a trillionaire by 2033 when he will be 75 years old.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world with a net worth of $107.1 billion. Not only was he the first to ever hit the $100 billion mark, but he might be the first individual to reach the coveted $1 trillion mark.

Using historical valuations of the world’s richest individuals, Comparisun — a content and comparison platform — calculated the time taken by the world’s richest to make their first trillion.

The company used average yearly percentage growth over the last five years and applied to each future year to predict how each individual’s net worth would change.

Among the 25 richest men in the world, only 11 stand a chance of becoming trillionaires within their lifetimes.

Here's counting down the full list of billionaires who will become trillionaires and when they’ll hit their mark:

1. Jeff Bezos

The founder of the e-commerce platform Amazon and the aerospace company Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world.

Even after his divorce with MacKenzie, Jeff Bezos net worth remains substantially greater than his counterparts.

He will be the first billionaire to become a trillionaire in 2026 at the age of 62.

​2. Xu Jiayin

Chairman of the second largest real estate company in China — China Evergrande Group — Xu Jiayin will be the second billionaire to turn a trillionaire in 2027 at the age of 68.

His company has built over 800 projects across 280 Chinese cities.

Jiayin current net worth stands at $23.7 billion, equivalent to 19.2 million troy ounces of gold.

​3. Jack Ma

Former chairman of Alibaba, Jack Ma, will be the third man to hit one trillion Dollars net worth in 2030, at the age of 65.

He is currently one of China’s richest men with a net worth of $35.6 billion. He was also ranked as the 21st most powerful person in the world by Forbes.

​4. Ma Huateng

Ma Huateng, also known as the Pony Ma, is the man behind the Chinese tech giant Tencent. Predictive analysis shows that he will become a trillionaire by the time he’s 61 years old in 2033.

He was the first Chinese individual to be featured in Forbers Top 10 Richest Men list and his current net worth net worth stands at $37.7 billion.

​5. Mukesh Ambani

India’s richest man and the chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, is expected to hit one trillion by 2033 by which time he will be 75 years old.

Ambani owns around 45% of Reliance Industries, one of the most valuable companies in India, bringing his current net worth around $24 billion.

6. Bernard Arnault

Bernard Arnault owns the world’s largest luxury goods company, Louis Vuitton SE. He is the richest person in Europe and the second richest man in the world with a net worth of $108 billion.

But, he’s going to be behind Bezos and other billionaires when it comes to hitting one trillion mark.

When Bezos will probably become a trillionaire by 2026, it’s going to take Arnault till 2032 to meet that level. By that time, he will be 84 years old — one of the oldest people on the trillionaire list.

7. Mark Zuckerberg

In stark comparison to Arnault, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will be the youngest person to make a trillion at the age of 51 years. But it will take him until 2036 to accomplish the that goal.

His current net worth stands at $55 billion and he was already the world’s youngest self-made billionaire in 2007 at the age of 23.

8. Steve Ballmer

Steve Ballmer, former CEO of Microsoft, is also set to hit a trillion in 2040 when he will be 83 years old.

Currently his wealth is estimated to be around $51.3 billion. He also owns the National Basketball Association (NBA) team, the Los Angeles Clippers.

9. Michael Dell

The CEO and founder of Dell Technologies, Michael Dell, is currently the 20th richest person in the world with a net worth of $32.2 billion.

Comparisun analysis predicts that will have made his first trillion by 2043 by when he will be 78 years old.

10. Larry Page and Sergey Brin

Google co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, are both set to hit $1 trillion by 2051 at the age of 77 years.

Page is currently the CEO of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, with an individual net worth of $51.1 billion.

Brin is the president of Alphabet with a net worth of $50 billion.
