Hesam Sanaee/Shutterstock</p><ul class="summary-list"><li>On a recent <a target="_blank" class href=" https://www.businessinsider.com/paris-best-thing-for-tourists-scenic-boat-ride-attractions-france-2024-7">trip to Paris</a>, I took a 40-minute train ride to enjoy delicious wine in Champagne.</li><li>It's my <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-underrated-wine-regions-to-visit-around-world-from-sommelier-2024-7">favorite French wine region</a>, so I love spending a day in and around Reims.</li></ul><p>I was just in Paris for a dear friend's wedding. As if we hadn't consumed enough Champagne during the celebrations, I decided to visit the famous wine region itself.</p><p>As oenophiles know, <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/why-champagne-is-so-expensive-vineyard-france-2019-9">true Champagne</a> can only be produced in the Champagne region of France. Luckily, it happens to be the closest wine region to Paris, making it perfect for day trips or weekend getaways.</p><p>It also happens to be my favorite wine region, so I try to visit whenever I'm nearby.</p><p>This <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/weekend-trip-new-york-city-on-budget-not-worth-it-2023-12">quick trip</a> is so fun that I think everyone should swing by Champagne the next time they're in Paris.</p>
