Although Blue Lagoon is probably the most famous spot — it was all over social media while I was planning — I ended up booking a day at <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/iceland-blue-sky-secret-lagoon-comparison-visit-2023-11">Sky Lagoon</a>.</p><p>One big selling point was that it's not located too close to an active volcano, which can sometimes result in closures or evacuations. Just last week, Blue Lagoon guests <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/tylerroush/2024/08/23/iceland-faces-sixth-recent-volcanic-eruption-as-thousands-evacuate-again-photos/">had to be evacuated</a> when one erupted nearby for the sixth time since the end of 2023.</p><p>Sky Lagoon's highest-level day pass for two people cost me $222.
