Davis' white gown is a departure from the brighter looks she's sported for awards shows held earlier this year.
At the SAG Awards, for example, the actress wore a neon-green dress with metallic embellishments. Davis also wore bright pink makeup with the ensemble.
Davis, who is usually styled by Elizabeth Stewart, also wore a vibrant look for the NAACP Awards in March. Her sleeveless gown that night had a scoop-style neckline, peplum bodice, and a magenta, orange, and blue floral print.
Davis is nominated in this year's best actress in a leading role category for her role in "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom." The nod marks her fourth nomination, making her the most-nominated black actress in Oscars history.
