The house from 'The Brady Bunch' is on the market. Check out photos of the $5.5 million property.

Want to live in a classic American sitcom? Now's your chance: The house featured in "The Brady Bunch" recently hit the market. The property can be yours for a cool $5.5 million.

Built in 1959, the two-story home in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles measures 5,140 square feet and is the embodiment of mid-century modern style.

While the bulk of the show was actually filmed at Paramount's studio in Hollywood, exterior shots of the house were featured throughout the show and in the opening credits.

"The most common thing the public doesn't realize is that this house was never used to film the show, it was only used in the opening credits," Danny Brown, the listing agent for the property told Insider over email

The house's interior has undergone meticulous renovations to replicate the set of "The Brady Bunch" as part of HGTV's "A Very Brady Renovation." HGTV, which purchased the home for $3.5 million in 2018, is now selling the home, along with a number of its furnishings.

Fans of the show often visit the property, some of whom have taken to Yelp to describe the piece of American TV history.

"Was in the area and swung by to snap a photo in front of the house. It looked just like it did on the show - far out," commented one user in February. "There was a security guard in a car in the driveway, who was very friendly and told us how close we could get for pictures."

Due to the high-profile nature of the home, viewings are by appointment only. Any prospective buyer will have to "provide proof of funds prior to confirming showing," according to the listing.

Here are 10 photos of the property:
