The $370,000 'EarthCruiser' off-road RV has 2 kitchens, a full bathroom, and can sleep up to 5 — see inside

EarthCruiser has unveiled its EXP 2020 overland vehicle built on a Mitsubishi Fuso two-wheel-drive that has been converted to the company's "proprietary" four-by-four system.

The EXP 2020 includes all of the typical amenities that can be found in an average home, including a full kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and several beds. But unlike most houses, the EXP 2020 tiny home on wheels has the ability to go off-grid and off-roading around the world through all four seasons.

The EarthCruiser company was originally founded in 2008 and operated in Australia before moving to Oregon in 2013. This means the camper truck can be built in two locations to optimize the delivery process: Bend, Oregon or Sydney, Australia.

US customers will have their EXP 2020s built in Oregon, while Australia and New Zealand-based customers' camper trucks will be built in Australia.

The EXP can also fit in a shipping container to be sent internationally.

EarthCruiser is currently offering the vehicle for $370,000 until May 31 with its "special incentive pricing."

EarthCruiser takes between 12 to 14 weeks to complete each build.

For outdoor leisure time, the EarthCruiser has an awning that can be electronically pulled out from the roof. There are also exterior and interior LED lights to brighten the tiny home inside out.

Further amenities include integrated Bose speakers for indoor and outdoor listening. Equipment and tech charging can be done with the camper truck's four USB power sockets, two 12-volt accessory sockets, and three 110-volt duplex power outlets around the interior. There is also a power outlet in the rear locker.

There's also an interior 17-gallon grey water tank.

The water can also be purified via a filtration system and heated via the hot air and water heater that comes with the truck.

The sink and shower receive its water from the 44-gallon interior water tank and 30-gallon exterior water bladder.

There's also a bathroom with a pull-out toilet, sink, and shower area.

In terms of seating, the single cab version can seat two people — with the option to put two more seatbelts in the dinette area — while the dual-cab version can seat four total without the converted dinette.

Extra sleeping space in the EXP 2020 can be found in the form of an optional sky bed that can fit an adult or two children.

The camper truck can also sleep two more people in the rear full-size foam mattress bed.

Four people can enjoy their off-grid, off-road meals at the dinette which, when lowered, also turns into a sleeping space for two adults.

A microwave is optional, although there's already a cooktop onboard that runs off of diesel power.

The interior kitchen also has a trash can built into the countertop ...

There are plentiful storage options in the interior kitchen unit in the form of multiple drawers that can fit kitchenware.

The EarthCruiser EXP has an interior kitchen with an optional exterior slide-out kitchen.

There's also a wine cabinet under the bed.

EarthCruiser also maximizes the storage space with two lockable exterior boxes, a 53-inch hatch, and cabinets next to and under the bed.

There is also an optional roof rack to hold more recreational amenities, like kayaks and canoes. The side ladder allows for simple roof access.

The rear bumper has three two-inch hitch receivers, allowing it to hold the weight of motorbikes.

There are also multiple storage features throughout the interior and exterior of the tiny home.

But with the roof down, there is about 62.5 inches of standing room and about 33.5 inches of room between mattress and the ceiling.

With the roof popped up, there is about 85.25 inches of standing room and about 52.25 inches between the top of the mattress to the ceiling.

The lifted roof also has a 360-degree window, allowing passengers to enjoy the views of the outdoors while snug inside the insulated tiny home.

The roof can pop up when it's not on the road, providing a roomier interior.

The home is about 163.5 inches by 77.25 inches.

In terms of the interior home, the one-inch thick fiberglass walls and floor provide structure for the 87.7-square-foot tiny home.

… and the LED light bar's brightness can be adjusted to fit the driver's needs through multiple driving conditions, such as dust, fog, and snow, according to EarthCruiser.

Turning lights are mounted both high and low to allow for more visibility for other drivers …

EarthCruiser also installed features — such as a heavyweight winch — to aid in pulling the vehicle if it gets stuck while out on the road.

There is a front bull bar that protects the vehicle in case of a collision, as well as skid plates that shield certain parts of the underbelly that hold "critical components".

Safety was also a priority in designing the camper truck.

There are also backup energy systems in case the main one fails, as well as an optional upgrade to a 720-amp-hour battery pack.

To maximize energy saving, the interior features "sip energy" from the 12-volt, 400-amp-hour battery, and inverter charger. The vehicle can hold up to two batteries.

The home on wheels uses glass-free solar panels and the diesel tank for power to make up for the lack of propane tanks or generators onboard.

The overlander can also be used off-grid.

The center console between the driver and front passenger seat includes storage, padded armrests, two USB outlets, a 12-volt socket, and four cup holders.

The driver and passenger seats inside the EXP 2020 were designed to be comfortable and ergonomic for everyday use.

This prevents parts of the interior from shaking and rumbling around loudly while on the road.

EarthCruiser used "marine grade" construction and materials to assemble the interior.

The camper has a “composite sandwich construction” also used on yachts, according to EarthCruiser. This reduces the home’s drag while still allowing for a large interior.

It also has multiple specific gear and drive options that allow it to run in a multitude of environments, according to EarthCruiser.

The EXP 2020 can also be driven in a negative 30-degree Fahrenheit climate while still having a warm interior.

EXP 2020's four seasons-approved drive has also been optimized to go off-roading.

The Fuso also has a large windshield that allows for a wider view of the road.

The 297-horsepower, 361-pound-feet torque truck can also operate cruise control at 75 mph.

The truck is also reliable and has decent fuel economy, and the EarthCruiser's four-by-four conversion of the Fuso allows it to be used off-road.

According to EarthCruiser, the Fuso is one of the most popular medium-duty trucks globally.

EarthCruiser selected the Fuso chassis as the base for the EXP 2020 for several reasons.

There are two options: a single cab with a 134-inch wheelbase, and a double cab with a 169-inch wheelbase. Both options sit on a Mitsubishi Fuso.
