The royal family has endured a number of scandals this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their "step back" in January after months of speculation, and faced criticism for starting Hollywood careers and getting involved in politics.
In June, the Queen failed to respond to accusations that the royal honors medal has racist imagery.
The Queen's nephew and grandson also announced they were getting divorces within a week of each other.
