HGTV's "Celebrity IOU" has become a massive hit, with viewers eager to tune into Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott's most recent TV venture.
The series provides celebrities with the opportunity to give back to important people in their lives, with stars like Brad Pitt and Michael Bublé appearing on the show.
Monday's episode featured Rebel Wilson and gave viewers a look at one of the most important relationships in her life.
Wilson gave her hairstylist and best friend Nicole a backyard renovation with the help of the Scott brothers
Wilson and Nicole have been friends for years, meeting just after Wilson moved to Los Angeles, California, full time.
"I chose Nicole because she's my first American friend ever," Rebel said of her friend, who she met when she went to get her hair done. The duo has now worked together on films like "Bridesmaids" and "Pitch Perfect."
"She was the kindest person," Nicole said of first meeting Wilson.
"Even with as much stardom that she's gone through over the years, she's still the same person," she added. "She is more family than a friend."
Wilson wanted to renovate her friend's backyard because Nicole couldn't afford to put more into the house despite the backyard being mostly empty.
"She saved up all her money to buy this house and has nothing left for the outside," Wilson told the Scotts. "To give back to her in this way is just incredible."
The Scott brothers and Wilson transformed the empty backyard into an outdoor oasis
The trio wanted to make the area fun and functional, packing an outdoor kitchen, a living room, a pool, and a fireplace into the space.
Wilson was hands-on with the demolition of the backyard, physically helping the Scotts makeover the outdoor space.
The backyard was split into three distinct areas.
The outdoor kitchen and living room sit next to one another, allowing Nicole to cook near her family and friends when they spend time in the backyard.
The kitchen features a state-of-the-art grill and a mini-fridge, as well as a dining table.
The covered living area features a fan to keep guests cool, as well as a television for added entertainment.
The space looks so chic it's hard to believe it's set up to be an outdoor place.
Nearby, the design team made an additional lounge area that isn't covered, so Nicole and her husband can spend time in the sun.
Although the area isn't that large, Wilson insisted they fit a pool in the backyard, as she wanted her friend to have that added amenity.
The finished pool is heated, has jets, and it contains built-in lights that change colors.
And the fireplace means Nicole can enjoy the space in the winter as well.
Nicole was emotional when Wilson showed her the finished backyard
"It's better than I could've even imagined," Nicole said as she looked at the space through tears.
"I'm blown away by everything that fits in that backyard and how everything fits so cohesively together."
"The memories I'm gonna be able to have back here with family and friends is just really special," Nicole said.
"She's so generous," Nicole added of her friend, getting teary as she talked about the "real Rebel."
The season finale of "Celebrity IOU" will air on Monday, May 18, and it will follow Jeremy Renner's journey to give his mom a dream
