The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made the announcement on their official Twitter account and uploaded a 25-second Youtube video. The footage showed the couple attending several royal events, as well as them laughing with one another.
"Be careful what you say now because these guys are filming everything," William joked, pointing to the camera crew while Middleton chuckled.
Royal expert Omid Scobie also noted that William and Middleton just changed their official Instagram handle from "Kensington Royal" to a more personalized "Duke and Duchess of Cambridge." The couple's move to YouTube, where they can offer an unprecedented look into their daily lives, echoes Prince Philip, who modernized the royal family by putting them on TV.
