Prince Harry says 99-year-old Prince Philip just slams his laptop shut instead of hanging up at the end of Zoom calls
- Prince Harry told James Corden that Prince Philip just "slams his laptop shut" after Zoom calls.
- Harry said that he'd called his grandparents a few times and that they'd seen Archie running around.
Prince Philip hasn't quite got the hang of Zoom, Prince Harry said during a wide-ranging talk with James Corden on "The Late Late Show."
Harry told Corden that his grandmother, the Queen, had bought his son, Archie, a waffle maker for Christmas. The host then asked whether the Queen knew how to use Zoom.
"Yes, both my grandparents do," Harry said. Corden replied, "This is crazy!"
Harry added: "We've Zoomed them a few times. They've seen Archie running around."
Harry laughed as he recalled their Zoom calls and said that instead of leaving the meeting, Philip would slam his laptop shut. "He just goes 'doof'!" Harry said, mimicking shutting a laptop.
Last week, Philip, who's 99, was admitted to the hospital because of an infection. He's expected to remain there for several days. Buckingham Palace said in a statement to Insider that he was "comfortable and responding to treatment."
Corden and Harry spoke about what life was like now that Harry and his family had settled in America and what they were excited for after the pandemic.
"I have no idea," Harry replied. But he made it clear that his and Meghan Markle's humanitarian causes were still a priority, saying his life was always going to be about public service.
"Trying to bring some compassion, and, you know, trying to make people happy and trying to change the world in any small way that we can," he said.
