Megan duBois</p><ul class="summary-list"><li>I recently stayed in a $990-a-night studio villa at <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/disney-world-polynesian-resort-review-expensive-hotel-2023-9">Disney's Polynesian Village Resort</a>.</li><li>The accommodation consisted of two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and three beds.</li></ul><p>I've been <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/things-worth-it-disney-world-not-worth-it-from-superfan-2023-12">going to Disney World</a> for over 30 years, and one of my favorite things to do is spend a whole day at a resort.</p><p>My parents and I recently booked a studio villa at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort using our <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/disney-world-villa-is-it-worth-it-wilderness-lodge-photos-2023-3">Disney Vacation Club points</a>. The club is Disney's version of a timeshare program, and our membership allows us to pay annual dues for a set number of points to use at any DVC property.</p><p>Timeshares have become a <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/sc/how-timeshares-vacation-ownership-reached-multibillion-dollar-industry-status">multibillion-dollar industry</a>, and I can see why they're so popular. My family visits Disney World multiple times a year, so we really save money on accommodations with ours.</p><p>The standard-view studio at Polynesian Village typically costs about $990 a night, but a weeknight stay around the Fourth of July only cost us 20 points.</p><p>Here's what it was like.</p>
