Low-cost startup airline Breeze is launching 3 new routes from North Carolina
- The low-cost carrier will fly between Raleigh-Durham and New Orleans, Hartford, and Providence.
- The Research Triangle is home to UNC, NC State, and Duke.
Upstart airline Breeze is growing again with new nonstop routes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, the airline announced Tuesday.
The addition of Raleigh-Durham will bring Breeze Airways' national footprint to 35 cities – more than double what the rapidly-growing startup carrier founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman launched with in May 2021.
The Research Triangle made up of Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham is home to the University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University, and Duke University.
The low-cost carrier will fly non-stop between Raleigh-Durham and New Orleans, Louisiana; Hartford, Connecticut; and Providence, Rhode Island on select days starting in mid-February.
Breeze also announced non-stop flights on select days from Pittsburgh to Hartford and NOLA with returning routes starting in early February.
One-stop flights from New Orleans to Hartford and Providence also join the Breeze route map starting in February.
Breeze also recently announced it is launching 2 new routes from Southern California's John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
