On Friday, 23-year-old Jake Paul posted the music video for his new single "Fresh Outta London" to his channel seen by 20 million subscribers. The video, which Paul teased on social media in the weeks leading up to its release, features his Calabasas mansion and scenes from a widely-criticized gathering hosted at the residence on July 11.
Photos and videos of the event quickly surfaced on partygoers' Instagram stories, and concerned neighbors provided footage of the day-long gathering to local news.
In the photos, mask-less guests — including several high-profile influencers such as Tana Mongeau – gathered inside and outside the home, and several appeared to be swinging from an excavator parked in the yard.
Footage of the gathering even made its way to the office of Calabasas Mayor Alicia Weintraub who told Fox 11 that she was "outraged" by the lack of safety precautions taken amid a pandemic.
"They're having this large party, no social distancing, no masks, it's just a big, huge disregard for everything that everybody is trying to do to get things back to functioning," she said.
In response, Weintraub pledged to work with law enforcement to curb large, private gatherings in the city.
"The City of Calabasas will be enforcing a zero-tolerance [policy] for large gatherings that defy local public health orders. I am committed to keeping our community safe and we are working with the Lost Hills Sheriff Station to ensure enforcement," she said in an email Insider.
