<p class="ingestion featured-caption">Chattanooga, Tennessee, is often overlooked, but it's definitely worth stopping by.Emily Hart</p><ul class="summary-list"><li>Having <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-us-states-to-visit-according-to-frequent-traveler">traveled to all 50 states</a> multiple times, I'm often asked to share my travel recommendations.</li><li>I've visited several cities that wowed me even though some are a bit under the radar.</li></ul><p>I've spent the last decade <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/least-favorite-us-states-according-to-frequent-traveler">traveling solo</a> to all 50 states multiple times — and people often ask me for trip recommendations.</p><p>My favorite destinations are towns that have a lot to do but can sometimes <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/where-to-visit-instead-of-popular-us-cities-best-travel-destinations">fly under the radar</a>.</p><p>Although some on this list are still considered major cities, I find they aren't talked about nearly as often as super <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-tourist-attractions-in-us-been-to-every-state-2024">popular travel destinations</a> like New York City or Los Angeles.</p><p>Here are seven of my <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/best-cities-to-visit-in-united-states-after-visiting-all-50-states">favorite cities</a> that I've loved visiting.</p>
