First I had to enter Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, which leads you to the ticket counter.

I didn't prebook, but the line moved fast. I was able to purchase a $45 ticket to access the 124th and 125th floors.

After showing my ticket, I walked down a long hallway displaying social-media posts people captioned with #BurjKhalifa.

Once my ticket was officially scanned, I walked past a replica model of the building.

Along the same hallway, there was an image of what the building looked like when level 100 of its 163 floors was built in 2007.

Finally I arrived at the elevators, which took us up to the 125th floor in a matter of seconds.

I started my tour on the 125th floor, which was 1,496 feet off the ground and had large floor-to-ceiling windows.

The windows surrounded the entire floor, meaning I could see Dubai from every angle.

After checking out the views, I walked down a set of stairs to the 124th floor.

The 124th floor had an outdoor observation deck that was more crowded but offered even better views.

The windows had a spot to sit where you could take in the view and grab some cute photos.

The views were amazing, and I could've easily spent even more time enjoying myself.

Once I was ready to leave, I headed back to the elevator, which had projected videos on the walls.

During the projection show, there was an animated scene of what the building looked like on New Year's Eve.

After reaching the main floor, I headed down a large escalator and exited the building.

Overall, it was a worthwhile tourist attraction I'd recommend to anyone visiting Dubai.
