I thought I was done with Disney cruises once my son became a tween, but he loves them more than ever

I've been on multiple cruises with my family, but we keep booking trips on Disney ships. Amanda Adler

• My tween has been on more than 30 cruises, and it's his favorite way to travel.
• Although he's outgrown the appeal of Disney cartoons, he still prefers Disney to other cruise lines.

I took my son on his first cruise when he was just a few months old, and our family hasn't stopped cruising since.

Although we've tried a variety of cruise lines over the years, traveling with a little one in tow drew me to book family-friendly sailings with Disney Cruise Line most often.

But my 10-year-old son has officially entered his "tween" phase, so we've tried sailing with other cruise lines that cater less to young kids.

Even still, we find ourselves drawn to Disney cruises above all others.
