<p class="ingestion featured-caption">The 2024 Nissan Rogue SL.Benjamin Zhang/Business Insider</p><ul class="summary-list"><li>The Nissan Rogue is one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the US and was updated for 2024.</li><li>I recently reviewed a well-optioned 2024 Nissan Rogue in a premium SL trim.</li></ul><p>The <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/nissan-z-review-iconic-sports-car-high-tech-engine-6speed-2024-6">Nissan</a> Rogue is one of the most popular <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/hyundai-tucson-hybrid-review-stylish-suv-cool-tech-fuel-efficiency-2024-5">compact SUVs</a> in the US, with more than 270,000 units sold in 2023.</p><p>It's also the only vehicle in the segment powered by a three-cylinder engine.</p><p>In 2022, Nissan boldly decided to replace the Rogue's conventional naturally aspirated four-cylinder in favor of the improved efficiency and torque of the turbocharged three-banger.</p><p>The choice seems to be well-received by consumers, with sales in 2023 up 45.6% over the previous year.</p><p>The third-generation Rogue, which originally launched in 2021, received a refresh in 2024, featuring updated looks and new infotainment tech.</p><p>I recently drove a <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/nissan-rogue-review-family-suv-controversial-3-cylinder-engine-2024-6">2024 Nissan Rogue SL AWD</a> with an as-tested price of $40,120.
