The 2022 Ioniq 5 is the first battery-electric car from Hyundai's dedicated EV brand.
With the biggest battery and rear-wheel drive, Hyundai estimates it to return about 300 miles.
No price was announced at this time, but you can expect them to arrive in the US later this year.
Back in August, Hyundai revealed plans to create a dedicated brand for battery-electric vehicles called Ioniq. This week, the automaker showed off the first model of that brand.
Meet the 2022 Ioniq 5 - a stylish little SUV that comes in either an all-wheel-drive, dual-motor setup or rear-wheel-drive, single-motor setup, according to the announcement. With the rear-motor setup, Hyundai estimates the maximum range to be just under 300 miles.
Size-wise, the Ioniq 5 comes within spitting distance of the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4. Hyundai did not announce pricing at this time but did say that the Ioniq 5 will be available in "selected regions" during the first half of this year.
