Getting Bottas naked looks great in this F1 driver's new calendar
- F1 driver Valtteri Bottas is supporting men's health research with his "Bottass" calendar.
- The calendar was shot in Aspen, Colorado, and shows Bottas naked in nature.
Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas did his work to support Movember this year — by bearing it all in his "Bottass 2024" calendar.
During Movember, interested participants grow mustaches and raise money to bring awareness to men's health issues, especially prostate and testicular cancers and mental health. It's the benevolent brother of the wicked "No Nut November."
And some, like Bottas, get creative to help raise money.
"Shot in Asspen, Colorado," reads the cheeky description for the calendar, which, you guessed it, features Bottas, well, butt-ass naked in a variety of scenic photos.
For every calendar purchased, Bottas donated €5 — about $5.45 — to prostate cancer research.
According to Reuters, after selling more than 10,000 calendars, Bottas raised about $150,000 for the Movember charity.
On the last day of Movember, Bottas posted a photo to his Instagram thanking his followers for their support.
"With the donations and with the calendars we have together raised a substantial amount for @movember," his caption read. "WE have really helped and will effect and save many people's lives."
While speaking to Speedcafe ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, he said he knew people who had struggled with prostate cancer.
"I think with men as well, like Movember, focusing on men's health, many people are quite afraid of speaking about those kinds of things," Bottas told Speedcafe. "So I went all out, showing myself, trying to set an example. It's a human body, you don't need to be shy."
As happy as his fans might have been, Bottas said his mother raised her eyebrow at the project at first.
"She doesn't really understand English that well, and she had seen some videos I had posted," he told Speedcafe. "She was quite confused and protective, asking me, 'Are you sure that's the path you want to go?' So I explained the charity thing, and it's fine."
