  • In Japan, the Revolutionary League of Lonely Souls is marching against Valentine’s Day because it propagates discrimination on the basis of how many times a person has had sex.
  • Muslim countries like Iran, Malaysia and Pakistan have banned the holiday altogether.
Not everyone loves Valentine’s Day. Many groups and individuals criticize it for being a ‘Hallmark-manufactured’ celebration and for propagating pre-martial sex.

Experts argue over the actual details of Saint Valentine and the reason behind the festival. A few even admit to celebrating Valentine’s Day because of the hype and the obligation they feel to prove their affections to a loved one.

It seems only people who love celebrating love are the ones investing in Valentine’s Day. And, people take to the streets on the Day of Love to drive their point home.
