Elon Musk said on Monday that Tesla's Model S Plaid will probably launch in China around March 2022.

In response to a tweet asking when the electric vehicle is coming to China, Musk tweeted: "Probably around March."

The Model S Plaid, which is an updated version of the company's Model S, has three motors, an estimated range of 390 miles, and can reach zero to 60 miles per hour in two seconds, according to Tesla's website.

Musk previously tweeted that it was the "quickest production car ever made of any kind."

Tesla delivered the first examples of the Model S Plaid to customers at a launch event at its factory in California in June.

It can reach speeds of up to 200 miles-per hour and comes with a $130,000 price tag, per Tesla. With the company's "Full Self-Driving" feature, the vehicle costs more than $140,000, Insider's Bryan Logan reported.

The initial delivery date for the Model S Plaid was pushed back by one week in June after Musk said it needed "one more week of tweak."
