Bryce Dallas Howard opened up in a recent interview about growing up with her dad, well-known director Ron Howard. "My dad was supportive of me, empowered me, and showed me respect, real respect, from day one," she said.
"Jurassic World" actress Bryce Dallas Howard directed a new documentary, "Dads," that features Jimmy Fallon, Judd Apatow, Will Smith, and other famous fathers. The film is available for streaming on Apple TV+.
She recently opened up to The Daily Beast about what it was like growing up with her dad, Ron Howard, a highly acclaimed filmmaker and actor. Dallas Howard said that when people ask her if she thought having a parent who was a well-known celebrity was "harmful," she disagrees.
"I'm always like, In what world is it harmful?" Dallas Howard told The Daily beast. "I mean, now I'm 39, and I've met a lot more people. There are a lot of kids of recognizable people, kids of celebrities, who have more of a relationship to the public version of their parents than to the private version of their parents. And it's the opposite for me."
She added: "It's a privilege for that person to have success in their own right. But there was no greater privilege than the fact that my dad was supportive of me, empowered me, and showed me respect, real respect, from day one."
