Luxury cruise operator Azamara has unveiled its newest 155-night, 37-country 2025 World Cruise itinerary.

And it has high hopes for strong bookings after its previous world cruise sold out in a month.

At the same time, the luxury cruise segment has been "off the charts" while the industry has continued to make its full return, UBS analysts said in an October note.

Now, small luxury cruise line Azamara is targeting fans of both luxury and world cruises with its upcoming 155-night global sailing.

Azamara isn't as intimidatingly large as companies like Royal Caribbean or Carnival.

Instead, it operates four ships that are all smaller than the mega cruise liners we've been seeing over the last several years.
Azamara
And its newest ship, the Azamara Onward, will be the floating home for travelers on the 2025 World Cruise.

… prompting the small cruise line to open more cabins on the ship, Mike Pawlus, Azamara's director of strategic itinerary and destination planning, told Insider in an email statement.

Over half of the 2025 World Voyage's designations will be different from the 2024 sailing, but Azamara still expects bookings for the 2025 cruise to be just as strong.

Bookings open to the public on November 10.

And this year, Azamara will make more cabins available to book on the first day "to ensure it could cover higher demand levels," Pawlus said.

People adverse to cruises may struggle with 155 nights at sea.
Azamara
But if you're a fan of the slower and more relaxed form of travel, almost half a year aboard a cruise ship could be your dream trip.

The Azamara Onward will take off from San Diego, California on January 6 before completing its journey in Southampton, United Kingdom on June 11.
Azamara
Along the way, guests will stop in 37 countries with 31 "late stays" …
Azamara
… and 15 overnight stays in locations like Sydney, Australia, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Azamara
The sailing will be separated into 10 "segments" in order of time and itineraries, starting with the Hawaii and French Polynesia leg.
Azamara
The first five days aboard the Onward will be spent sailing from San Diego to Hawaii.

There, the ship will travel to five different islands — including Oahu and Kauai — before sailing another six days to French Polynesia where travelers will have three days to explore three islands.

Then, the Onward will begin its second leg: the South Pacific Jewels.

Here, the home at sea will sail from French Polynesia to American Samoa, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, and New Zealand with at most two days at sea in between each destination.

During this time, travelers will spend 12 days exploring a handful of New Zealand and Australia destinations before beginning the fourth leg: Western Australia and Bali.

From Singapore, the fifth leg will bring travelers in a small loop to Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.

During the seventh segment — Ancient Pathways – travelers will have some time to explore Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, and Cyprus before ending in Greece.

Along the way, the ship will spend two days sailing through the Suez Canal. Let's hope the Ever Given doesn't make a dramatic appearance again.

Segment eight will bring travelers on the "Aegean and Adriatic Gems" journey with several stops in Greece, Italy, and Croatia …

And after almost half a year of living on a cruise ship, your sea legs will finally get a break when the cruise concludes on June 11 in Southampton, United Kingdom.
Azamara
There will be several days at sea with no ports of call throughout the journey, but at least travelers will get to spend it on Azamara's newest 684-guest cruise ship.
Azamara
While the ship doesn't have the go-kart tracks and water slides that are now popular on giant cruise ships, it does have entertainment areas like a cabaret lounge …
Azamara
… indoor and outdoor lounges, and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Azamara
But this once-in-a-lifetime journey around the world on a small luxury cruise ship won't be cheap.
Azamara
Interior staterooms — the least expensive of the Onward's 278 staterooms — start at almost $40,000.
Azamara
But if you're eyeing a more deluxe option, the most luxurious owner's suite (not shown below) will ring up at $157,000.
Azamara
It's a hefty price to pay, but at least you'll get a butler at sea, a balcony, and 155-nights of your life planned out for you.
