Ultra-luxury RV travel trailer maker Bowlus has released its most affordable build yet.

But don't expect a $40,000 RV: the new Bowlus Heritage Edition trailer still starts at $159,000.
Bowlus
Bowlus doesn't shy away from building travel trailers that are as expensive as a down payment on a home.
Bowlus
In 2021, it unveiled the $285,000 Terra Firma, a pet friendly RV with water and air filters, heated floors, and the ability to stay off-grid for up to two weeks.

About 1.5 years later, the company launched its Starlink enabled $310,000 Volterra, which it says is the world's first fully electric travel trailer.

These are undoubtedly sky high prices for RVs.
Bowlus
But now, Bowlus is turning down the price with the newest addition to its RV family.
Bowlus
The Heritage's lower price tag — about $126,000 less than its previous cheapest build — was designed with the option for more premium add-ons.
Bowlus
This allows its future owners to upgrade the base model as they see fit.
Bowlus
Unlike the previous two Bowlus trailers, this new build — which still retains the company's iconic aluminum shape — has a matte finish.
Bowlus
And at 2,900 pounds, it's the company's lightest, making it a good candidate for electric vehicle towing, according to Bowlus.
Bowlus
Inside, the layout of the new 27-foot-long RV is similar to the Terra Firma and Volterra.
Bowlus
The silver and beige-grey interior has a dining and living room that can convert into two twin beds, allowing the trailer to sleep up to four people.
Bowlus
This living room leads into the bedroom.
Bowlus
Here, there's a king bed and en-suite bathroom lined with a sink, shower, and toilet.
Bowlus
There's also a small kitchen on the other end of the trailer where travelers can find typical amenities like a microwave and a refrigerator-freezer.
Bowlus
For those who want to work remotely, the trailer can come with a technology package equipped with Starlink, a cell booster, a backup camera, and tablet mounts.
Bowlus
To power all of these amenities, a two kilowatt-hour battery comes standard in the RV.
Bowlus
This electrical system can then be beefed up with one of two power package add-ons which includes systems like solar panels, an off-grid air conditioning, and a touchscreen power panel.
Bowlus
The highest end package gives the trailer enough power to stay off grid for 1.5 weeks.
Bowlus
This is definitely more limited than the Volterra, which Bowlus says can go off-grid for an indefinite period of time.
Bowlus
But for those who aren't planning to escape civilization forever, the $151,000 price cut on the Heritage versus the Volterra could make it a more reasonable purchase.
