Airstream has unveiled a $107,500 RV with a full office for remote work - see inside the Flying Cloud 30FB Office

• Airstream has unveiled its new $107,500 Flying Cloud 30FB Office travel trailer with a home office setup.

Airstream has taken advantage of the long lasting remote work trend by debuting its latest $107,500 2021 Flying Cloud 30FB Office, a travel trailer with a corner home office.

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Airstream had been looking for ways to target the digital nomad and remote work clientele, Bob Wheeler, Airstream's president and CEO, told Insider in September. All the pandemic did was expedite this goal.

One of the plans Airstream had discussed with Insider included upgrading its Flying Cloud travel trailer to make the floor plan more digital nomad friendly. And now, over four months later, the road travel vehicle maker has finally unveiled its latest Flying Cloud 30FB Office.

Airstream launched several refreshed road travel vehicles throughout 2020, and one of these updates included the Flying Cloud trailer in June. But unlike any of its prior refreshes, the new 2021 Flying Cloud 30FB Office floor plan has a full desk space that allows occupants to easily work from anywhere.

According to Airstream, this latest release was designed in response to the "shifting travel landscape" during COVID-19 and comments from current RV owners working remote from their homes on wheels.

As a result, the new travel trailer falls under the categories of two big COVID-19 pandemic trends: the boost in RV sales, and the rise in the "work from anywhere" mentality.

The new redesign specifically targets the 30-foot-long Flying Cloud 30FB corner bunk model by replacing the rear corner sleeping area with a workspace.

"The pandemic has permanently changed the traditional work landscape, and we're thrilled to offer a travel trailer that meets the needs of our times without compromise," Wheeler said in a statement.

The work area includes an office chair that can fit into the desk's edge, allowing the space to be turned into a leisure or sleeping area.

The chair can also be strapped down to stop it from rolling around while the RV is out on the road.

The desk also has storage units, a privacy divider …

… and black-out curtains to provide some peace and quiet while teleconferencing on the road.

Workers who crave a clean desk space can use the two grommets to organize any loose wires.

The desk space comes with USB ports and a USB and AC outlet, which receives its charging power from the 1,000-watt inverter.

There's also a table that can be pulled out to create more on-demand working space.

Are you a big note taker? If so, you'll be happy to hear that the overhead cabinets come with a dry erase surface and under-cabinet LED lights.

The trailer also comes with a Blu-Ray DVD player with satellite TV and HDMI outlets.

The desk space and its respective amenities may be new, but the trailer still has similar features to the previous Flying Cloud models.

For example, the trailer still has a kitchen, which comes with a refrigerator, oven, and microwave.

There's also a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink, according to renderings of the travel trailer.

The 30FB Office can sleep up to six people with its queen bed, bench, and convertible dinette.

The trailer can also be upgraded with Airstream's Power Plus and Solar Package, providing energy for off-grid work and play.

In total, the 2021 Flying Cloud 30FB Office weighs 6,757 pounds and has a gross vehicle mass of 8,800 pounds.
