<p class="ingestion featured-caption">Turkish Airlines has unveiled a new business class, and this time without a middle seat.Pete Syme/Business Insider</p><ul class="summary-list"><li>Airlines continue to upgrade business class at travelers demand more luxury at the front of the jet.</li><li>Korean Air and Turkish Airlines are bringing their planes up to standard with sliding doors.</li></ul><p>New business-class seats seemingly pop up every few months.</p><p><a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/air-india-business-class-a350-compared-to-777-legacy-2024-2">Air India introduced new suite-like seats</a> in January, Cathay Pacific Airways unveiled an upgraded "Aria" business class in March, and Lufthansa welcomed its <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/lufthansa-replacing-dated-business-class-new-allegris-cabin-first-class-2024-4">versatile Allegris product</a> in April.</p><p>Big players Korean Air, Qatar Airways, and Turkish Airlines are also following the trend to strengthen their position in the premium long-haul market. All three unveiled new business-class seats at the <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/neither-boeing-nor-airbus-won-this-years-farnborough-airshow-2024-7">Farnborough International Airshow</a> in July.</p><p>These global <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/virgin-atlantic-business-class-upgrade-retreat-suite-a330-neo-2024-7">airlines are responding to the growing demand</a> for more space and privacy at the front of the plane, which is where carriers make their money. This is especially important as post-pandemic business demand further rebounds and airline <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/why-airlines-are-struggling-despite-record-travel-demand-profits-revenue-2024-6">operating costs remain higher than ever</a>.</p><p>The more recent announcements show <a target="_blank" class href="https://www.businessinsider.com/qatar-worlds-best-business-class-qatar-qsuite-2024-6">Qatar is still leagues ahead of its rivals</a>, but its clear doorless cabins and middle seats are largely becoming a thing of the past in business class.</p>
